Pictures are meant to be shared among friends and family and the Internet provides all the tools you need to make this possible. Picturelife makes it much easier and faster to store pictures online, organize them in albums and share them with other people. It works like DropBox, Google Drive or other synchronization applications. The software can monitor one or more folders on your hard drive and it automatically uploads any pictures you store in those folders. Once you upload your pictures, you can manage, edit or share them on a user friendly web interface.

The application itself is free, but the synchronization service has different price tags, based on how much storage space you want. It offers 5 GB of free storage space, but you can have up to one TB, if you pay a monthly or yearly fee. You will also receive bonuses of 100 MB when you perform certain operations for the first time. Picturelife comes in a small package and it can be installed in less than a minute.

When launched for the first time, Picturelife will display a brief presentation of its functions and it will ask you to create an online account, sign into an existing one and select one or more folders on your hard drive. While the application is running in the background and monitoring your targeted folders, you only need to copy or move your pictures to these folders. The stored images will be uploaded to the Cloud automatically, without any further user input.

You can access the web interface through Picturelife's system tray icon. The web interface displays all uploaded pictures as thumbnails, just like on a standard explorer window. You may also access other sections, on the web interface, via navigation tabs, located on the left side the window. The software allows you to view your photos in a timeline, create and manage albums, view your pictures on a map, if they include GPS data, manage family and friends, requests and much more. It is also possible to upload pictures manually, on the web interface. This means that you can upload new images, even if you are not in front of your own computer. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that Picturelife is available for mobile devices as well, so you can view, manage and share your pictures even if you are on the road.

The web interface presents other advantages as well. One of them is the possibility of editing images. Although there are not many editing options placed at your disposal, you can still rotate images, click an option to enhance them automatically or apply various filters. Another interesting feature is the possibility of clicking and dragging images to an album. Clicking and dragging is not something that makes a program shine, but it is definitely worth mentioning if you can perform this action on a web browser.

Pros

The software can synchronize entire picture folders on the Cloud. It displays your pictures like on an explorer window and it allows you to share them, edit them or drag and drop them to an album. You can also enhance your images, apply filters and perform other operations.

Cons

If you delete images and empty the trash, on the web interface, the application will not synchronize them again. You will have to upload them manually. Besides that, deleted albums may still show up on the web interface. Picturelife gives you the possibility of managing, editing and sharing your entire image gallery from anywhere in the world, without any kind of difficulties.
